Will Smith Named Favorite Celeb Dancing Dad: Poll

Home fitness buffs want to get jiggy with Will Smith.

The “Men in Black” star was a runaway favorite among Zumba fans, as America’s favorite celebrity dancing dad, according to the company today.

Smith was the choice of 41 percent of favorite Tinseltown figures, respondents to a Zumba Fitness survey said between June 4 and 8.
Zumba’s the latest dance craze to sweep America. It’s a popular workout done at home and in classes.

The “Gettin’ Jiggy Wit It” rapper-turned-movie star Smith topped a list that included Mario Lopez [15 percent], John Travolta [14 percent], Ricky Martin [13 percent], Usher [8 percent], Bon Jovi [3 percent], Hugh Jackman [2 percent], Kevin Bacon [2 percent], Tom Cruise [1 percent] and Mick Jagger [1 percent].

Almost all the top finishers have noted dance moments in their entertainment careers.

Lopez strutted his stuff in the third season of “Dancing with the Stars” as he and Karina Smirnoff waltzed their way to second place.

Travolta’s mega-star status could be chalked up “Pulp Fiction,” the 1994 classic that includes a famous dance number between he and Uma Thurman. Their twist on the twist shot Travolta back on to the A-List where he’s been ever since.

Martin drove “Glee” fans wild this past season with his seductive groove to “Sexy and I Know It.”
